The video programme Fokus Kina [Focus on China] has been created with a view to expanding knowledge of China and stimulating people’s curiosity regarding the issues facing the country’s inhabitants. It is also intended to act as an introduction to some of the challenges that the younger generation of Chinese struggles with. The main weight of the programme focuses on the opportunities for individual expression. In a society in which art and artists have a special status, artistic expression is seen as a driving force in the process of discovering new paths that explore, define and manifest the individual.
