Werk is a curatorial agency based in Stockholm. With emphasis on artists working
across disciplines and with socially engaged processes, Werk collaborate internationally
to organise, produce, stage, publish and promote contemporary art works.
SuperSocial, a subsidiary of Werk, operates as a travelling unit to facilitate and host temporary platforms and events. Werk was established 2003 by Cecilia Andersson. Prior Cecilia worked as curator at Tate and at FACT, Foundation for art and creative technology. With a background in photography, she continues to reflect on the ever changing economy and impact of the photographic image. Her critical writing appears in Blueprint, Tema Celeste, Exit, Modern Painters, Zehar among others, as well as in numerous artist catalogues.
